MHK commits to further growth for members

AT ITS ANNUAL general meeting in Berlin, the MHK Group vowed to open up even more sales and growth prospects for its 4,300 members across Europe. According to the buying group, it

saw an impressive 77 new members join its European ranks in the

last year. Additionally, the

number of UK suppliers on MHK’s roster has now surpassed 60 brands, with the buying group still believing it has the highest number of supplier members in the country. David Morris, sales manager at MHK UK, also discussed the buying

group’s plans for growth in the United Kingdom, explaining: “One of the things we’re using as a benchmark for our future as a group is asking: ‘where do we want MHK to be by 2030?’. “And for us, growth is all about adding more suppliers that give us access and offer even more support to retailers.”

Morris also said that during the

last year, brands such as Rotpunkt, Pronorm, Natural Stone Surfaces, Schüller, 1810 Company and JJO had also joined the buying group’s UK roster.

Moores celebrates impressive millennial milestone

KITCHEN MANUFACTURER Moores has once again held its annual employee awards ceremony, with its collective workforce now having contributed over 1,000 combined years of company service. In total, 56 members of the Moores team were

recognised for their long-standing service, with almost a quarter of its total workforce having been with the business for more than 20 years each. To help mark the occasion, Moores employees with over 20 years of service were presented with a certificate of achievement,

and invited to a celebratory lunch hosted by CEO Michael Barret. One of those being celebrated was Rob Gooby, who has dedicated more than 45 years of service to the company as a senior database co-ordinator. Pleased with the recognition, he commented: “Acknowledging long service is becoming less common in businesses, so it’s refreshing to see Moores valuing loyalty at all levels. While fresh ideas drive innovation, experience and a deep understanding of the business are equally essential.” CEO Michael Barrett expressed his gratitude to the company’s staff, adding: “I want to say a huge thank you to all those who are being recognised for their loyalty and service. We’re incredibly grateful for their hard work, passion and commitment and that they have chosen to invest so much of themselves into our business.”
