For example, you will find a concrete and steel dam holding back water in a reservoir, contrasting with a beaver constructing a natural dam in the wild. A helicopter is positioned next to a sycamore seed, and a whale accompanies a submarine. These visuals spark conversations and stimulate thinking. Children explore animal habitats within the Hive while contemplating global ecosystems.


An area in the Hive focuses on growth and decay, offering children the opportunity to directly witness the natural decay process and observe the impact of weather and insects. Through planting and harvesting, children interact with and manipulate food, enabling them to role-play scenarios involving locally grown produce versus imported goods.
