Reduce your carbon footprint

Why not try creating a colourful poster to show  carbon footprint and help minimise our impact on the environment? You could even include the activities on a sticker chart.

“We loved this crafty ocean activity!! It’s hard to  those plastic bottle tops, especially if they can’t be recycled”

Plastic collage

Following on from our ocean pollution theme we decided to create this wonderful collage to make a creature from the sea. This is a great educational idea to build upon and develop your own ocean corner on a bigger scale using plastic that can’t be recycled.

What you’ll need

• Large piece of cardboard • Pen to draw your creature • Scissors to cut out your drawing • Plastic bottle tops 

Method

1. On a large piece of card draw a creature from the sea – perhaps a whale to illustrate the impact of single use plastic on their environment.

2. Carefully cut this out with scissors.

3. Using the PVA glue, stick the bottle tops on the cardboard to make the picture come to life!
