Calling all UK teachers who wish to make an impact and want to teach about climate change and its impact on our people and planet.

eduCCate Global has teamed up with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) to develop and deliver an innovative climate change education programme for primary and secondary schools in the UK. Our goal is to deliver a UN accredited climate change teacher in every classroom in the world. In this way, climate change literate children will be able to teach other children and their parents about the issues and solutions surrounding the emergency.

How can you get involved? Climate change teachers

As a climate change accredited teacher, you gain access to world–class learning resources and teacher training courtesy of the UN CC:Learn Program, that equips you with the climate change and environmental knowledge needed to educate and empower our next generations. The programme is entirely free, and you will benefit from extensive knowledge and support, as well as have access to the eduCCate global community and exciting school sustainability and eco initiatives.

eduCCate community

The eduCCate global community is a free and open community to climate change accredited teachers, their schools and their pupils to share, discover and access a whole library and social network of eLearning and climate change materials.

Topics covered

I am fully engaged with ensuring all teachers are confident to teach on the following key points:

• The science of climate change • Children and climate change • Human health and climate change • Cities and climate change • Gender and environment • Climate change: Learning to action

The UN courses incorporate a deeper understanding of: sustainability, adaptation, mitigation, the green economy, environmental engineering, sustainable design and technology, sustainable food technology and many more vocational subjects our children will need in a rapidly changing environment.

Join the thousands of eduCCate Global climate change teachers in more than 11,000 UK schools.
