Membrane with up to 99.99999 % bacteria retention

MetalSkin Medical®

Retrograde protection on a higher level

Retrograde contamination occurs when microbes are splashing back from the drain to the water tap.

Therefore the MetalSkin Medical® coating was developed. This is a resin-polymer

casting with a 92 % copper alloy, which has an antimicrobial effect. MetalSkin Medical®

is designed to fight retrograde contamination caused by aerosols and

splash water from the drain and water basins. Tested through ISO standard 22196 and also NF S90-700 it has proven its outstanding performance in killing 99 % of bacteria in three minutes and 99.5 % of SARS-CoV2 within 4 hours. Additionally all point-of-use water filters enclose a hollow fibre membrane with a proven retention efficiency of 7 Log steps for Brevundimonas diminuta, complying with the FDA definition of sterile filtrated water.
