n Nexus is a state-of-the-art innovation hub based on the University of Leeds campus. It supports businesses across the HealthTech and life sciences sectors to innovate and grow, helping them to access the research, talent and facilities across the University and beyond


n Earmarked for Government investment, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT) – one of the largest in Europe - is set to create a new Innovation Village in the five hectares of land released by the development of its new hospitals building at Leeds General Infirmary. This is estimated to create 3,000 new jobs and a £11.2 billion boost for the region


n Its new Innovation Pop-up is unmatched in the North of England. It is already attracting businesses to locate in the city to accelerate the innovation, adoption and spread of HealthTech within the hospital setting


n The Leeds’ Centre for HealthTech Innovation is a joint research initiative between the University of Leeds and LTHT. Drawing on the expertise of a community of around 300 scientists, academics and NHS clinicians, in partnership with industry, it propels HealthTech from science and innovation to evaluation and adoption in healthcare


With support from Leeds Academic Health Partnership, industry, academia and the health and care sector in Leeds are collaborating at extraordinary pace and scale.
