Our independent, devolved NHS allows companies access to anonymised healthcare data for the whole population in one database. So, clinical trials here can access three million people with a single, co-ordinated permissions process. We’re committed to supporting innovative technologies and therapies to reduce costs and improve patient outcomes. Wales also has competitive strengths in the
enabling technologies, namely Cyber Security, big data analytics and AI that underpin digital innovation in healthcare. The Life Sciences Hub Wales, based in
Cardiff, is the focal point for NHS and industry engagement. An arm’s length body of Welsh Government, the Life Sciences Hub Wales exists to catalyse innovation and collaboration between industry, health, social care, and academia – making a positive different to people, families and businesses across the nation.
