NHS Property Services launches new NHCs handbook


NHS Property Services has launched a new handbook designed to support NHS leaders to plan, deliver, and sustain Neighbourhood Health Centres (NHCs). With NHCs forming a key part of


the NHS’ long term plan, Your guide to developing a Neighbourhood Health Centre provides clear, step-by-step estates support for NHS organisations navigating what can be a complex and evolving development process. Aimed at NHS estates teams,


Integrated Care Systems, commissioners, and local health leaders, the guide sets out a structured, evidence based approach to developing NHCs, whether a team needs end-to-end support or


specialist help at specific points along the journey. The handbook is built around four


core stages of NHC development: n Assess – identifying the most suitable locations using population need, estate performance, planning, and financial data.


n Plan – shaping compliant, affordable, and fundable proposals that can secure local and national approval.


n Deliver – managing refurbishment, reconfiguration, or construction to ensure safe, high quality outcomes.


n Learn and maintain – supporting long term performance through compliance, facilities management, and continuous improvement. The launch follows CEO Martin


Steele’s appearance before the Health and Social Care Select Committee to discuss the role of the NHS estate in delivering a ‘Neighbourhood Health Service’.

Nottinghamshire’s first CDC now officially open


A new state-of-the-art Community Diagnostic Centre has officially opened its doors in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. The Mansfield CDC was


delivered with project management support from construction consultancy Pulse Consult in collaboration with Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, contractor Kier, and supply chain partners including CPMG Architects and Hexa. Annually, the facility is designed to enable thousands of patients to receive faster diagnoses, closer to home, delivering up to 100,000 tests each year The CDC utilises a collaboration of both new infrastructure and the

Total Clean Air completes Modular Clean Air takeover


Modular Clean Air (MCA) is now wholly owned by Total Clean Air (TCA), marking the next phase in its development following its successful launch as a joint venture in 2025. Originally established to bring


together modular construction and cleanroom expertise, MCA will now operate as TCA’s dedicated modular cleanroom brand, responding to increasing demand for high-quality modular cleanroom solutions.


Demand for modular cleanroom solutions continues to rise, with the global market forecast to grow at over 12 per cent annually, driven by increasing requirements across pharmaceuticals, life sciences, and other highly regulated sectors. MCA will play an increasingly important role within the TCA group, supporting clients with flexible, scalable, and high-performance environments delivered at speed. TCA CEO Phillip Godden said:
