Agilyx takes stake in GreenDot Global

Agilyx has entered an agreement to acquire 44% of packaging recycler GreenDot Global for €52m. Licensed across 29 coun- tries, GreenDot is a major recycling platform process- ing more than 400,000 tonnes/yr of plastic packag- ing waste.

Agilyx said the invest- ment will strengthen its presence in the European market and create a global platform for sourcing and supplying feedstock to the chemical recycling industry.

“GreenDot is the recog- nised industry leader in Europe, has tremendous momentum in the fast-de- veloping advanced recy- cling market, and is a great complement to Agilyx’s existing activities,” said Ranjeet Bhatia, CEO of Agilyx.

It has also been an- nounced that the TriPlast packaging sorting plant in Ennshafen, Austria – jointly owned by GreenDot, Altstoff Recycling Austria and Bernegger – will undergo a

€35m expansion. The new facility, to be built adjacent to the existing plant, will process up to 41,000 tonnes/yr. Since starting operations

in July 2024, the existing TriPlast facility has operated at full throughput capacity, achieving an 85% yield, said Agilyx. The plant’s through- put capacity of 100,000 tonnes/yr is sufficient to process approximately 50% of Austria’s annual volume of lightweight packaging. www.agilyx.com
