Engel expects further growth after new record

Injection moulding machine manufacturer Engel record- ed a turnover last year of €1.7bn, a 13% increase on 2021’s figure of €1.5bn. Engel Group CEO Stefan Engleder said: “Closing at €1.7bn, we reached the highest turnover in the company’s history.” The automotive, medical,

packaging, and technical moulding segments are said to have performed espe- cially well. In North America and Europe, investments

were made to meet continu- ing high demand for products used in diabetes therapy, while the trend towards sustainable packag- ing concepts was especially prevalent in Europe. Investments in logistics

applications were still at a high level, while the strongest driver of the company’s success was the automotive industry, which had a significant impact on economic growth, espe- cially in Asia and both North

and South America. The company is confident

of continuing this upward trajectory, Engleder said: “As we have already demonstrat- ed in the past, we can adjust fast to changes in the business environment and absorb their impact. We are confident that by consistently following our strategic goal to drive innovations and be an industry leader, we have set ourselves up for success in the upcoming year.” www.engelglobal.com
