Atlas buys automotive supplier US Farathane
Atlas Holdings, which owns and operates 26 companies and more than 300 facilities worldwide, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire US Farathane (USF) from The Gores Group. The transaction is expected to close in Q2 of 2023. Headquartered in Auburn
Hills, Michigan, and with 18 manufacturing facilities in the US, Mexico and China, USF is a manufacturing partner to automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, providing injection mould- ed, compression moulded, and extruded products for the interior and exterior of vehicles. Arburg’s hub for
innovation Machine manufacturer Arburg has opened a new location in Karlsruhe, Germany, which will be known as the Innovation Hub. The location is de- scribed as ideal because computer science courses are offered at the nearby Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, which aligns with the company’s ethos of promoting digitalisation alongside traditional manufacturing processes. Also, the company HQ in Lossburg is only 100 km away, so regular face-to-face contact is possible. In total, the office offers space for up to 40 employees in an area of around 500m². Haitian reveals plans for Serbian facility
Chinese injection moulding machinery group Haitian International has held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new production facility in Ruma, Serbia. It plans to start construction work later this year.
Phase 1 will cover 161,000 m² including plant hall A occupying

59,000 m² along with a three storey office and employee building with an in-house canteen. The plant is sched- uled to go into operation in 2025. Sun Yiming, CEO of Haitian Interna- tional Germany, said: “Ruma is ideally located for us as Haitian International to directly supply Mars and Jupiter
machines to our customers’ markets in Eastern Europe and the Middle East and to support them with local services. In Serbia, the Haitian team has already built up a large customer base, which the new plant will enable us to serve even better in the future.” �
