Pack Klaipeda, founded in 2007, specialises in the production of foamed and rigid plastic packaging. It claims to be the largest tray manufacturer in the Baltics, exporting more than 90% of its output to European countries. Output is more than 360 million packages per year, it says. It focuses on fresh food packaging – including ‘food to go’, ready meals and fresh produce, for customers including food manufacturers and retailers.

Product lines:

The company has four main product lines, for food-to-go, ready meals and modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) – as well as non-food packaging. In food- to-go, if offers expanded PS and PP trays that are hinged and sealable. These also use around 30% recyclate. Its ready meal packaging includes XPS, XPP and rigid PP and PET, which can be used for hot use applications. Its PP-based MAP trays are used for products such as fresh meat, poultry and seafood. Its non-food XPS packaging is for products like floor underlay.

Factory location:

The company has a production facility in Klaipeda that makes its entire range of products. It recently took delivery of a new rPET extrusion line from Meaf Machines, for the production of meat packaging. The new line is also suitable for the production of PP trays without alterations. The equipment also incorporates Kreyenborg’s IR-Clean technology.
