Isik Plastik, founded in 1988, is a producer of plastic sheet and thermoformed food packaging. It also offers masterbatches and compounds. The company says that exports account for around 78% of sales – and that it sells to more than 60 countries.
Product lines:
The company offers a wide array of both sheets and packaging, with its Policam sheet brand and Vivapak thermoformed packaging. In sheet, it offers polycarbonate, acrylic, PET-G and multiwall products – as well as products for noise barrier applications. Recent additions include non-glare and flame-retardant sheet. Its thermoformed products include drinking cups, plates, yoghurt cups, deli pots and lids. Masterbatch is supplied in a variety of materials, including PP, PS, PE and ABS.
Factory locations:
The company’s single location in Gebze produces all its products. It has a total area of around 23,000 sq m, and a closed area of around 15,000 sq m. Its annual capacity is around 20,000 tonnes of sheet and 18,000 tonnes of packaging and masterbatch. Last year, it acquired US-based sheet producer Ug Plast, which has an 8,000 sq m facility in Pennsylvania with a capacity of 11,500 tonnes/year.
