Janesville, Wisconsin, USA Joshua Gray 1982

Goex was founded in 1982, in order to supply extruded PVC sheet to Prent Corporation. Since then, it has grown to supply custom sheet made from a range of materials, including high impact polystyrene (HIPS), PET, PLA, polycarbonate, polyester and polypropylene (PP).

Product lines:

The company creates custom sheet, supplying four main industries. In graphics, its products are used in signage, merchandising displays and trade show booths. Its medical sheet is used for a variety of medical grade products including surgical face shields, sterile barrier packaging and orthopaedic implant trays. In food, products include containers for condiments and dairy products, plus disposable containers such as clamshells and portion cups. Finally, in consumer, it provides protective packaging for a range of different product types, such as electronics, sports equipment, personal care items and appliances.

Factory location:

The company employs around 200 people at its production plant in Janesville. Here, the company runs 10 extruder lines in a 235,000 sq ft facility. It recently added Class 8 cleanroom slitting facilities, to produce sterile packaging for the food and medical industries. At the same time, Goex is now planning a second facility – in Cedar City, Utah – to better serve its customers in the west of the USA. The new facility is likely to be 120,000 sq ft in size, and will employ up to 140 people.
