JD upgrades S700 series
John Deere updates the S700 series com- bines. Combine Advisor uses ActiveVision cameras and sensors to identify changes in crop conditions and automatically adjust the combine, HarvestSmart feedrate con- trol automatically regulates ground speed and adjusts settings on-the-go while it maintains a consistent crop load. It has been updated to enable the combine to run closer to its power limit. The 30-second calibration process is now passive, elimi- nating the wait time needed for the cali- bration to finish. John Deere replaced the moisture sensor for one with an improved accuracy, so owners can use higher-quality data in their management decisions. Resi- due placement has been enhanced with an optional feature allowing the operator to set the chopper knife bank in four different positions without leaving the cab. Auto Swap is now standard and works with Pow- erCast and Advanced PowerCast tailboards to make residue placement more precise. Finally, the height of the combine’s auger has been increased to accommodate today’s taller grain carts.

Sentera and Climate expand partnership
Sentera announced an expanded platform partnership with The Climate Corporation (Climate) that will provide advanced plant population and weed pressure analytics from Sentera to the Climate FieldView digi- tal agriculture platform. It gives more farm- ers the ability to easily visualise their field data, detect issues fast and quickly make more informed management decisions, within one digital ecosystem. Users don’t have to manage multiple apps, log-ins, and passwords to make use of Sentera’s analyt- ics in FieldView. “Together we provide farm- ers with valuable tools and the data in- sights they need to efficiently manage their farming operations and improve profitabili- ty.” The integration between FieldAgent and Climate FieldView is active and available to- day. For a limited time, any FieldView cus- tomer who integrates selected Sentera ana- lytics solutions with an eligible FieldView account will receive 12 months of unlimited stand count analysis. These users can also add 12 months of unlimited weed pressure mapping for $ 500 (a $ 1,000 value.)

Case IH Flex Hoe 900 air drill
The new Case IH Flex Hoe 900 air drill is equipped with a parallel link opener, de- signed for ground contour following to en- sure accurate and consistent seed place- ment. Available in 50-, 60- and 70-foot tool bars with 10- or 12-inch spacing, this air drill features a new, intuitive user interface, so operators can make quick, on-the-go adjustments. Designed with agronomic ground-engaging components, the Flex Hoe 900 features a short opener length, creating a true 1-to-1 ratio between the knife and press wheel. Additionally, a low- er-weight design is to improve flotation to minimise soil compaction. A Quick-Lock depth adjuster is positioned at waist height and built with presets for easy, tool-free adjustments. With the AFS Pro 700 display, an intuitive, easy-to-use interface controls opener and frame down pressure from the run screen and comes with five presets. The Fold Wizard feature prompts the operator when to remove transport lock pins, which remotes to activate and when, as well as safety reminders. Available for the 2020 season.
