CCI joystick vibrates and adjusts itself
Competence Center Isobus (CCI) intro- duced this universal A3 joystick to operate machines in a smart and comfortable way. Remarkable: you can place a different grid over its small display. CCI supplies 3 types with 7, 8 or 10 buttons. Using a button on the back of the joystick you can swap or change the different functions that are be- ing displayed. That way, you can adjust the display to your liking. The A3 joystick is compatible with any Isobus terminal on any machine by any brand. It automatically downloads the Isobus symbols from the operating terminal. The joystick recognises the grid in use and automatically adjusts its layout. It vibrates whenever you press a button to indicate the command has been recognised. CCI couldn’t say yet whether this user-friendly joystick will also be sold to third parties. It’s to be expected that it will be found in for instance a Grimme self-propelled harvester, since Grimme is a member of CCI. Price not known yet; every CCI member can put its own price tag on it.

Drone maps up to 16,000 ha in one go
The Brazilian Nauru 500C drone, made by XMobots, has a flying range of 4 hours. It is designed for mapping and surveillance es- pecially over large properties. These num- bers are ensured under conditions such as 1,300 meters of altitude, 30º degrees and average windspeed of 18 km/h. The drone weights 25kg, is able to face winds of 60km/h per hour and achieves 90km/h of cruise speed. Its maximum speed is 110km/h and it can reach an altitude of over 1,300 meters. The Nauru 500C combines the ability to take-off and land vertically (VTOL) with a fixed-wing design. This hybrid engi- neering makes for easy take-offs and land- ings, like a small multirotor drone, whilst it has the larger flying range of a fixed wing drone. It is equipped with 2 24mm pixels cameras with 30mm fixed-lens RGB or 2 multispectral cameras (R, G, B, Nir and Red- Edge with 24mm pixels and 30mm fixed- lens). Prices start at R$ 338,000 (€ 80,000) and can go up to R$ 770,000 (€ 182,000) depending on the specifications.
