through Saturday, August 27, 2022. The most antici- pated event of the year in the Saddlebred horse indus- try, the WCHS has been held annually in Louisville since 1902 and crowns world champion Saddle- breds in various divisions. And while every-

The American Saddlebred is a horse breed referred to as the “Horse America Made.” Descended from riding-type horses bred at the time of the American Revolution, the American Saddlebred includes the Narragansett Pacer, Canadian Pacer, Mor- gan, and interestingly, the Thoroughbred among its an- cestors.
