number of fantastic projects with Macaulay Sinclair, this was the first Byron I have been involved with. The design team selected some fantastic materials and provided a design brief for the ceramic finishes that we are able to meet with some great products, within the budget, whilst adding real value in all aspects to this new Byron project.”

The Boarding House- A Slice of Style

Situated in the picturesque village of Howwood, The Boarding House is a stunningly refurbished former coaching house turned into an ultra-stylish pub offering great food, a deli counter and a full complement of drinks to slake the thirst of the weary traveller.

CTD Architectural Tiles is delighted to have been involved with one of the latest Byron Hamburger openings in Salisbury.

Byron has been making ‘proper hamburgers’ since 2007 and has grown to 56 outlets nationwide. Working closely with architecture and design firm Macaulay Sinclair, the team selected various ranges from CTD Architectural Tiles’ portfolio to complement the bespoke look for this particular Byron. Granus Series was selected for the WC floor comprising 450x450mm and 100 x 600mm, with the stunning Studio Series 100x100mm semi-handmade wall tiles selected for the WCs walls. For the entrance and bar apron areas, Lisbon Series in 100x300mm was selected in three colours to create a striking herringbone design that complements the adjoining wooden floor-not only is this on trend, it also provides a durable and hardwearing finish.

Situated just down the road from Elderslie, this historic hotel has been around since 1770 and its charm gracefully transcends throughout the building following a recent refurbishment, which CTD Architectural Tiles Specification Manager Isabella Geer has been delighted to be involved with. Original features of the old coaching inn have been retained, combining old and new qualities which were a must for the client. Isabella Greer knew exactly what would look great for this quirky project, suggesting CTD Architectural Cementine black and white tiles to Inch Architecture, Glasgow. Expertly installed by tiling contractors Gordon Turner Tiling, the monochrome design adds a contemporary twist to a traditional building. Combining CTD Architectural Cementine with coordinating 600x600 Gomma tiles created the wow factor interior look which has fast become a constant talking point between both staff and customers alike. A classic gloss white bevel brick tile were the perfect tiles for use throughout The Boarding House serving areas, creating a bright & fresh look.
