NEW PRODUCT RANGE Palace Chemicals, building products manufacturer, has expanded its range of levelling products to meet consumer needs.


Palace manufactures and supplies a compact range of quality floor levelling products, designed to suit the preparatory needs of the tiling professional.


Having listened to feedback from end-users, Palace realised there was a demand for a broader range of floor levelling solutions to cover all categories of decorative floor finish, and therefore decided to extend its product offering.


Palace’s established range of levelling solutions includes the economical single part Palace Self Level, which provides a super smooth thin layer top-finish that also doubles as a two-part system when added to the polymer fortified Palace Self- level Latex.


One new addition, Palace Fast-Flex, has built-in polymer fortification for a consistent level and shrink-resistant screed from 2mm up to 25mm thick and can be applied over a much wider range of floor surfaces.


Where the base substrate is significantly uneven, Palace Thick Bed has been upgraded to a new fibre-reinforced shrink-resistant deep bed leveller which now incorporates micro-fibre technology and improved

Made with consideration of the time constraints that confront floor levelling and reinstatement projects, Palace 1-part Fast Track is designed to have the highest possible early strength development and rapid drying, enabling tile fixing after just 45 minutes.


The Palace Fast Track 2 is a two- part bag and bottle version, which gives the installer a self-contained fast-track solution with even higher adhesion strength to a broader range of substrates.


Palace Flow Level is a rapid-drying, super smooth two-part bag and bottle latex-modified floor leveller with optimised flow and easy levelling properties designed to give a more forgiving, perfectly smooth finish.


For heavily trafficked areas, Palace Smooth Base is another two-part Bag & Bottle floor-levelling solution, suitable for application onto uneven, difficult to bond floor surfaces.


For even greater surface resilience or where no actual decorative overlay is applied, Palace Wear-Top has been developed to have high strength abrasion resistant characteristics.


With substrate preparation, another issue to consider is the existing floor structure, especially if an anhydrite (calcium sulphate) based screed is in place. The new range offers two solutions, ensuring there’ll be


suitable for levelling differences in thickness between 3mm to 10mm in one application on new and existing substrates. A single unit (20kg bag and 4.4litre bottle) will cover approximately 5m² when installed at a thickness of 3mm. The versatility of Latexplan NA means it can be applied over numerous substrates, including over most existing adhesive residues including bitumen, is suitable for use onto plywood substrates and Mapeproof ESM and Mapeproof One Coat surface DPM’s usually without priming.
