Just as the bright colours of spring flowers and longer days bring a fresh sense of hope each year, the feeling is even stronger this April as we see the lifting of some lockdown restrictions, including the reopening of showrooms across England. Of course, it’s not all plain sailing and, as the bouts of snow we’ve had in some parts of the UK this month would suggest, things are still a bit strange… but it’s certainly a step in the right direction.

With the world opening up again, many businesses are investing in sprucing up their buildings to create the best possible impression to new and returning customers. In our Cleaning, Maintenance & Restoration section, we have expert advice from Thomann-Hanry’s Managing Director, Mark Styles, as he shares his tips for maintaining and restoring building facades, ahead of lockdown restrictions easing.

We are also delighted to finally announce the winners of the Tomorrow’s Tile & Stone Awards 2021! If you follow us on social media, you may have already seen the top three winners announced but now you can find out what they had to say about the win, as well as the reasons why you, our readers, voted for them. We also have the full list of the top ten winners. Once again, I’d like to take the opportunity to congratulate all of our finalists and thank you all for your overwhelming support.

Elsewhere in the issue, we also have an extensive focus on Adhesives & Grouts and a look at the latest Kitchen & Bathroom trends.

I hope you enjoy the read! EDITOR’S VOICE
