BATHROOMS & KITCHENS C PREDICTIONS

ndemic has impacted bathroom and kitchen design - and how this has changed consumers’ n the home.

ceramic wall tiles can be styled in a variety of ways from classic to contemporary. Darker shades - such as dark green, dark blue and black - are a popular choice for kitchens as they can be used to create a classic, stylish design with a dramatic twist. Tile Giant offers Metro wall tiles in classic 10x20cm and larger 10x30cm formats, in a collection of trend-led shades.

The pandemic has also led us to rethink the role our outdoor spaces play. They’re no longer an afterthought as they used to be. Now, we recognise how important these areas are to our wellbeing, at the same time as putting them to new uses - such as working-from-home zones.

In 2021, we’ll see greater continuity between the house and the garden, with themes and colours flowing seamlessly between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

Wood-effect tiles, which echo wood flooring of kitchens, are a great solution for this - allowing to create a coherent design and look in both zones. Tile Giant has a selection of coordinating indoor 10mm and outdoor 20mm tiles to help the indoor living space transition smoothly into the garden.

The bathroom has also undergone significant changes over the past year. As people seek spaces that maximise

wellbeing, the bathroom has become a space of tranquillity and self-care. People are using the bathroom as a place of respite away from their home office or kitchen and enjoying time spent alone away from other household members.

The Metro tile looks equally as stylish in the kitchen as it does in the bathroom. In white, mint green and light grey, the tiles create the ideal setting for a long bath with a face mask, glass of wine and a book.

Marble is also a popular choice for customers who want to create a luxury spa experience from home. Our Sofia range of calacatta marble-effect tiles comes in two finishes - a classic polished look that will bounce light around the room and create a feeling of light and space, whilst the soft satin finish offers a sophisticated, contemporary look.

Statement floors are also creeping into the bathroom. Our Formentera tiles are a go-to option for customers wanting to create a unique pattern. They come in three designs - Geo, Petal and Trellis - which offer a variety of possibilities, while evoking the mood of warmer climates.
