This past year has seen homes and gardens play a pivotal role in keeping us safe and happy as we’ve all been asked to do our bit and stay inside.
Amid a DIY boom, many of us have spent time re- evaluating the design of our interior and exterior spaces to better reflect our changing needs.
While lockdown measures are beginning to ease, it is clear that some of these lifestyle changes, such as flexible working, now look like they will extend beyond 2021. This shift in the way we live our lives has led to a corresponding move in interior and garden design. And nowhere is this more noticeable than in the kitchen.
Restaurants and cafes have shut, meaning people have relied heavily on the kitchen to cook and eat three meals a day for seven days a week. Not to mention the endless cups of tea and coffee we’ve been making as we’ve adapted to working from our bedrooms and kitchen tables.
As people look to create a more homely and cosy charm, many customers are choosing to incorporate wood effects and natural tones in their kitchens.
