FAMILY HOME Louis de Poortere’s Cardinal, from the newly-relaunched Richelieu Family, has been used in a millimetre-perfect project for the personal residence of a successful property developer.
Retailer Clarke’s of Romford installed a bespoke Cardinal woven Wilton carpet to the stairs and landings of a private residence, using the carpet’s luxurious velvet finish to create a runner fitting of this impressive family home.
When specifying finishes for his own residence, the property developer turned to Clarke’s of Romford for a stair and landing carpet that upheld his high standards. The retailer recommended Louis de Poortere’s Cardinal from the Richelieu Family woven Wilton collection as an option meeting the client’s exacting requirements.

The launch of Abingdon Flooring’s StainFree Wilton is seeing pattern pop up in stores across the country, as the collection’s stylish lecterns hit the shop floor.

Clarke’s of Romford then carried out an intricate and impressively precise installation, whipping in colour- matched blue in to a bespoke width narrowed from Louis de Poortere’s four-metre wide option. The central staircase and gallery landings meant
able to respond to the rising interest in pattern with a great value carpet that’s StainFree for life. Given its popularity, we’re encouraging any retailers contemplating the collection to get in touch before we sell out of lecterns.”
On one lectern, customers will find a range of beautiful floral designs, while on the other reside tartans and checks. All carpets are classic patterns given a new lease of life with elegant colourways taken right out of the hottest looks.
