The Academy for Excellence in Flooring has revealed a make-over to its facility with the entire ground-floor refreshed and showcasing some of the latest laminate, engineered wood and vinyl floors available from Quick-Step.

V4 Woodflooring, manufacturer of hardwood flooring, has expanded its team with the appointment of a new member of the sales department.


Lee Harris, from Greater Manchester, will work across the North West, including the Cheshire, Manchester, North Wales, Cumbria, Isle of Man and Merseyside areas.


Joining V4 Woodflooring from Cormar Carpets, Lee has 35 years’ experience in the flooring sector and a reputation as one of the top performing sales people, priding himself on excellent customer service.

Of course, no makeover would be complete without a stunning new floor and the Academy has showcased two of the latest styles from manufacturer and supporter Quick-Step, in the new Majestic waterproof laminate collection of super-long and extra-wide planks, as well as the striking chevron patterned Intenso engineered wood.


Public and breakout areas have also been updated to enhance the experience of visitors, bringing the Academy for Excellence in Flooring right up-to-date and making it the country’s most modern and well-equipped flooring training facility.


Lee Thompson, Procurement and Technical Manager, said: “We’ve seen


new display stands for key retailers to ensure we are supporting them to be able to give the best possible customer experience, and offer professionals and consumers choice in how they can discover and select the best products for their needs.


“Listening to retailer feedback, there was a definite demand to introduce improved display material for their stores, which would enable them to show customers larger samples of our wood floor collections in a more impactful way. We have designed our new stands to showcase all of our ranges with easily accessible larger sample sizes, combined with a more engaging brand and information output.”
