ARDITEX NA can be used with confidence over old adhesive residues including bitumen, and even direct to ceramic tiling, and is ultra rapid setting which means that floorcoverings can be applied after only 4 hours. The ARDEX range of powder and water-based smoothing underlayments combine excellent levelling and self-smoothing properties with rapid setting, hardening and drying, enabling rapid installation of a smooth base prior to the installation of the subsequent floorcovering.

tremco illbruck continue to develop smoothing compound using the most up to date technologies including shrinkage compensated binder systems, low emission polymers and flow aids. The latest product to be introduced to the range is SX500 rapid drying smoothing compound. The product has a 40% recycled content, a 30 minute walk on time and can accept some floor coverings from 90 minutes.

UZIN provides the UK’s flooring professionals with innovative products and solutions. We offer a range of high quality and ecological smoothing underlayments for new installations or refurbishments in commercial, residential and industrial environments.
Due to increasing regulations regarding duty of care and allergies to latex, UZIN has developed UZIN L3 Gold, an ammonia and latex free smoothing compound. It is therefore suitable for use in sensitive environments and fulfils BREEAM and LEED requirements. It is also rapid drying and most floor coverings can be installed after 2 hours. UZIN L3 Gold can also be used under a DPM and can be applied over old adhesives residues such as bitumen, if hard and well bonded to the substrate. It can be used without a primer in most cases and has a high compressive strength of 25 N.
