AWARDS
Sponsored by Loo Of The Year Awards HOW DOES YOUR COMPANY COMPARE? The Loo of the Year Awards promotes the best places ‘to go’ across the country at its annual event.
The cleanliness, maintenance and management of washrooms is essential to enable customers and staff to satisfy a basic human need – using the loo! Customers will use the facilities that they know meet their needs, and importantly not visit places that don’t.
How does your company assess how clean and well maintained the washrooms are that you are responsible for? How do you benchmark your achievements against your competitors? Does your company and its cleaning staff receive recognition for a job well done?
Entering washrooms into the annual Loo of the Year Awards is a way of receiving an independent assessment and recognition of the standards achieved based on ‘the washroom standard’ for the UK.
Mike Bone, the Awards Managing Director, said: “Companies and institutions of all sizes and in all market sectors throughout the UK use their entries in the annual Loo of the Year Awards as a proven, cost effective and independent annual assessment of their standards. Leading cleaning and FM companies compete for a range of National Awards and UK/Ireland trophies including the ultimate accolade – winning the overall Loo of the Year Awards Trophy.”
The Diamond Award In 2019, the Loo of the Year Awards introduced a prestigious new Diamond Award which less than 4% of entrants achieved. These included entries from ABM, Churchill Cleaning Services, Cordant Cleaning Services, Mitie and VSG. How would the washrooms you are responsible for compare?
Washroom Cleaner of the Year Awards The Washroom Cleaner of the Year Awards are a unique and integral part of Loo of the Year Awards but relate specifically to the cleaning staff that look after facilities, rather than the washrooms themselves.
Mike Bone added: “While the range of gradings and National and UK/Ireland Loo of the Year Awards and Trophies provide adequate recognition for the loos and their providers, it is the people who look after each facility who also deserve recognition.”
All attendants and/or cleaning staff employed by the entrant and working at the entry location will automatically be entered for a Washroom Cleaner of the Year Award.
There are three separate National Washroom Cleaner of the Year Awards for cleaners based in England, Scotland, Wales and the Ireland. These are; the Individual Washroom Cleaner (or individual washroom cleaning team) at one entry location, In-house Cleaning Team based in multiple entry locations and the External Contractor Cleaning Team Multiple Entries National Awards. A UK/Ireland Trophy winner is selected from the National Award winners of each of the three National Washroom Cleaner of the Year Awards.
