Having gone through a torrid 24 months, the hospitality industry is now experiencing a skills shortage, which, according to Ronan Harte, Chief Executive Officer of BaxterStorey, is presenting new challenges regarding recruitment. According to research, three in ten hospitality businesses are currently finding vacancies difficult to fill. It’s not an issue exclusively for the hospitality sector, there’s a deficit of skilled workers in many industries that interweave with FM, but it is making the recovery from the pandemic harder for all involved.
