FM BUSINESS Mace, the international consultancy, construction and facilities management company, has appointed Gary Pyle as UK and Europe Regional Lead to drive strategic growth plans for Operate, its facilities management business, across the region.
INDUSTRY EVENTS Denis Rawlins, expert cleaning consultants and equipment supplier, will be sharing its scientifically- backed cleaning strategies at a number of key industry events this spring.
Gary joined Mace in 2021, as mobilisation lead, supporting Operate in the set up and initiation of facilities management contracts. As Regional Operations Lead, Gary will be responsible for delivering Operate’s target operating model to all clients across the UK and Europe.
Gary has over 17 years of operations experience within the facilities management industry.
The Rawlins team will be revealing the secrets behind its grease- busting regime at the Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Show (21st- 23rd March at ExCeL London), The Manchester Cleaning Show (6th-7th April at Manchester Central), and The Facilities Show (17th-19th May at ExCeL London).
From commercial kitchens and fast food restaurants, to washrooms and warehouses, greasy floors pose a real health hazard. Tackling this problem requires a specific cleaning response way above the capabilities of the mop and bucket.
However, winning the war on grease doesn’t have to be labour intensive. The Rawlins team will share

efficient. His initial aim is to support clients as they ease back into the office environment, by ensuring his high-performing teams create safe and inspiring workspaces.
Coming as standard with S-Class filtration and with the option of micro-fleece bags, SEBO XP models offer cleanliness and convenience. The computer- controlled height adjustment automatically adjusts to the floor for optimum cleaning and with its on-board tools the operator has a versatile and light to use machine.
Peter Buff said: “Following Jan- Hein’s inspirational leadership, I am delighted to be stepping into the role of Managing Director for Kingdom Cleaning. The business has been a key player in the cleaning and hygiene industry for decades, from our roots with the Facilicom Group, to being part of the Kingdom Group family today, and I am excited to take it to the next level in my new role.
For water-free carpet cleaning, SEBO has developed the DUO carpet dry cleaning system. The DUO brushing machine brushes DUO-P cleaning powder into the carpet pile. Made from micro-sponges containing cleaning agents, the DUO-P powder, which is Woolsafe approved, breaks down and absorbs soiling and is then simply vacuumed away. There is no down time waiting for the carpet to dry, no risk of shrinkage, mildew or unpleasant odours and a built-in anti-resoilant helps the carpet stay clean: Ideal for any area that is difficult to close off for a prolonged period as happens with wet cleaning.

Rawlins will showcase its range of high-flow fluid extraction machines, including the Kaivac UniVac and AutoVac Stretch, which both make light work of removing greasy substances, leaving a clean and dry surface.
The cleaning experts will also share their ‘Remove, Improve & Protect’ cleaning method, which not only delivers consistent, measurable results, but also leaves surfaces protected against future infection.
Prior to joining Mace, he worked as a consultant across facilities and estates, leading on projects and programmes for companies including Mitie and G4S.
Werner du Plessis, Sales Director at Denis Rawlins Ltd, said: “Greasy floors are a real problem and pose serious health and safety risks to staff and visitors, if not cleaned properly. Over the years I have met so many business owners who have struggled to win the war on grease, that is, until they adopted our cleaning regimes.
“Building on the strength and potential of both Kingdom Cleaning and Kingdom Services Group, we have major plans to make the company an even higher performing business, delivering added value and high-quality services to our current and future clients. As we embark on this new chapter, I am very much looking forward to working with the team, and our customers, to bring our high-energy ideas to life.”
