Hello and welcome to the June/July issue of Tomorrow’s Care! If you’re an avid user of social media, you may feel like there is an
awareness day for every possible subject these days. Whilst some of these are fairly light-hearted, social media campaigns have also proved a vital tool in raising awareness for some very serious issues.
From 10th - 16th June, the UK marked Carers Week. This annual campaign
raises awareness of caring, highlighting the challenges unpaid carers face and recognising the contribution they make to families and communities
throughout the UK. According to statistics from the Carers Trust, there are seven million carers in the UK- that’s one in ten people. Whilst our content is predominantly geared towards care professionals, we will always strive to share the stories that matter most and help you, the care professional, to support those caring for loved ones.
In the issue itself this month, we are covering a variety of topics, from Safety & Security right through to Furniture & Interiors, to provide you with inspiration and advice to help improve your own care facility or
service. We also have the long-awaited announcement of the Tomorrow’s Care Awards 2019 top ten winners.
Happy reading!
