Cold water machines provide high- impact cleaning with a high fl ow rate to fl ush away dirt and rinse quickly, plus they’re easy to transport between jobs, as they take up little storage space and are quick to set up. Kärcher’s newly updated

HD Compact Cold Water Pressure Washers provide better mobility, easier handling, and more practicality than ever before; the new models feature a distinctive new design that incorporates a carry handle, enabling the machine to be carried like a suitcase, making it easier to move the machine from one job to another. Typical Kärcher design ingenuity means the machines can now also be operated in a lie-fl at position, giving extra stability and safety, while the new hose storage system ensures that the high pressure hose stays in better condition, reducing tangles and mess. On-board storage ensures that all accessories like the Dirt Blaster nozzle and optional hard surface cleaner are always quickly accessible.
When there is a lot of dirt to shift or deep cleaning work to be done, Kärcher HDS Hot Water Pressure Washers shift oil and grease more easily than cold. Although hot water machines need diesel to fuel the burner as well as electricity to power the motor, running costs can often be lower than their cold counterparts due to their increased cleaning effi ciency, reduced labour and detergent costs. Hot water pressure washers raise the water temperature from about 12°C to up to 155°C, allowing the working pressure, cleaning time and detergent quantity to be reduced – generating time savings of up to 35%, and signifi cantly better results.
With the combination of mineral-free steam and pressure, even the most stubborn dirt can be loosened – this ensures high cleaning performance, even without chemical additives. The steam stage is perfect for removing bitumen coatings, paint, soot deposits, lichens and algae, and cleaning with hot water can be demonstrated to substantially reduce germs, so much so in fact that for many hygiene requirements, an additional disinfectant is not required.
Kärcher’s breadth of range offers both cold and hot water machines in sizes ranging from Compact, through Medium, Super, Stationary and – for challenging environments such as food production or hospitals – Special Class, which includes extra hot and emission free variants among others. By far the most popular power source for pressure washers is 240V single phase (with a diesel-fi red burner on hot water machines), and for sites where electricity is not readily available but very high cleaning performance is needed, Kärcher provides a petrol and diesel powered range for the highest level of fl exibility and independence.
