The time is now The IPC Group says that the future of sustainable cleaning is here already.

These days, environmental safeguards are more relevant and more of a concern to us all than ever before.

The cleaning industry in particular is highly sensitive to the issue of ecological protection. Ergonomics, environmental and energy sustainability have become far more central themes for cleaning than other industries, as a result of the introduction of policies aimed at increasing the use of green solutions and technologies.

For example, the European Green Public Procurement (GPP) encourages the adoption of environmental technologies and products with the lowest possible impact, along with the maximum respect for the environment.

This focus on sustainability has, for example, been particularly evident in Italy, where the Public Consumption Sustainability Action Plan (PAN GPP) has been adopted since 2006. The PAN GPP guidelines outline that categories of goods and services have to comply with ‘Minimum

Environmental Criteria’ (CAMs), in order to select and purchase products, services and public furnishings with the minimum environmental impact.

The cleaning market has been tasked to be more ‘ethically responsible’ and embrace the necessity to move rapidly towards eco-sustainability, even making it a relevant selling factor. All consumers are paying more and more attention to the impact of their day-to-day cleaning activities, approaching everything they do with a ‘green attitude’ in order to reduce the unnecessary usage of natural resources and materials whenever and wherever they can.

For IPC Group, the commitment and constant efforts towards eco-sustainable development have led towards the study and design of improved product designs, and more efficient production processes in total respect of nature. Conscious of its responsibility towards the community, IPC aims to minimise the impact of its products over their lifecycle, from the design and production stages through to their usage, disposal and recycling.

To this end, IPC has developed an innovative and fully equipped product range with their pioneering eco-friendly technology Black is Green. The Black is Green products are an exclusive line of products using recycled plastic in accordance with GPP. This technology, certified TÜV, involve the use of up to 75% high quality recycled plastics.

Besides ensuring greater resistance, in both manual equipment and vacuum cleaners alike, Black is Green recycled plastic reduces the waste of energy and resources. Also designed to take care of operators’ health, Black is Green does not contain natural latex rubber, meaning whatever goes in contact with the operator is latex free.

Black is Green makes recycled plastic qualitatively superior, promoting environmental protection and sustainable development at the same time, making the product line twice as eco-sustainable as others.
