Editor’s Voice

Being sustainable is even more important than it ever was. For the cleaning and

hygiene industry, the drive for environmentally-friendly products and practices has been increasing year-on-year for a long time now. Not only has it become more

economical and financially viable to switch to more sustainable stock and products, but more and more companies are actively demanding more eco-friendly practices in contracts.

It's simply not enough anymore to make the bare minimum of sustainable changes: clients want action that doesn’t just look good on recycled paper, but actively helps them achieve their net zero goals, too. With sustainable products achieving near price and effectiveness parity with ‘standard’ offerings, more thought is being devoted to other methods of reducing impact, such as reducing packaging and

transportation, building longer-lasting equipment and cutting down on the impact of call-outs to fix simple issues.

In this special annual supplement dedicated to all things Sustainable in the cleaning and hygiene industry, the Cleaning and Hygiene Suppliers Association goes in-depth with us on their Roadmap to Sustainability, while Nina Wyers from The Floorbrite Group clears up confusion on sustainable cleaning, and what it really means.
