WHAT'S NEW Sanitise sustainably
With the combination of both flu and COVID creating a potential ‘twindemic’ this winter, and ongoing concerns throughout the year of more transmissible COVID mutations, it’s as important as ever for all sectors to meet high sanitising standards. These anxieties naturally result in heightened use of sanitising products.
With greater volume being used, it’s important that products aren’t providing long-term damage to the environment. BioHygiene’s All-Purpose Sanitiser and Foaming Hand Sanitiser, an industry-leading solution when it comes to both sustainability and efficacy, is the answer for many.
The product is an eco-friendly quat, chlorine and aldehyde- free surface sanitiser approved to kill all enveloped viruses – including flu viruses and all COVID strains. It also substantially reduces CO2
e, aquatic and human toxicity.
As a virucidal, bactericidal, yeasticidal and fungicidal cleaner disinfectant manufactured in the UK, the sanitiser contains naturally-derived fermentation extracts and mild surfactants, resulting in an environmentally responsible cleaner and disinfectant. The active ingredients in the product work together in several ways, including:
• Damaging the microbial outer membrane (causing leakage of cell contents)
• Attacking proteins •

champion sustainability Greyland is one of the founder members of the Cleaning and Hygiene Suppliers Association’s (CHSA) Cleaning Chemical Manufacturers Accreditation scheme, which includes all major UK and Ireland-based cleaning chemical manufacturers, who trade both ethically and sustainably and manufacture quality, fit-for-purpose cleaning products. Greyland always ensures that ‘what’s on the box is what’s in the box’.
We have always been committed to the industry’s highest environmental standards. Our efforts to be as sustainable as we can have proven to be paying off, since we have been awarded the Planet Mark Certification as well as both ISO
The result? A highly effective and reliable all-purpose sanitiser. It has also been formulated with user safety and cost effectiveness in mind, with its concentrates reducing packaging and environmental costs associated with transport.
BioHygiene also boasts its popular Foaming Hand Sanitiser, with the same sustainable credentials. Again, this product is tested against enveloped viruses – killing both flu and COVID viruses – and unlike common alcohol-based hand sanitisers, is pH balanced and includes a moisturiser – meaning repeated use doesn’t cause dry, cracked hands.
The hand sanitiser, which offers residual cleaning and kills 99.99% of most common germs, is ideal for both healthcare and food handling environments. It’s also suitable for schools, offices, washrooms and all public areas to help control the spread of germs.

9001:2015 Quality Standards and ISO 14001 Environmental standard. Maximum Eco by Greyland was introduced to offer customers an ecological alternative which is just as effective yet less harmful to the environment. Maximum Eco consists of three product ranges: Biotech, Super Concentrate and Max Eco.
Our Biotech range uses eco-friendly bacteria to colonise surfaces which break down organic matter, which then can be easily removed for a long-lasting cleaning effect. The bacteria that we use is cultivated in the UK, which has massively reduced our carbon footprint and is contributing towards our work with Planet Mark. Also, other advantages include reduced costs and health benefits.
Super Concentrate combines optimum performance with environmental sustainability. This product range consists of products that can be used across many different sectors, making these products very cost effective. With this range, a little bit of product goes a long way, which is significantly reducing single use plastic packaging in the supply chain.
Our core Maximum Eco Range has been formulated to be powerful, effective, safer in use and to have a reduced environmental impact compared to traditional cleaning chemicals. Products in this range utilise plant-based and biodegradable ingredients.
Greyland is committed to focusing on sustainability and how we can continue to drive innovation in this subject area and inspire positive change in this sector.
