There will be further announcements from the organisers in due course about smaller networking events, industry
In Memoriam: Derek Anthony Evans
We are saddened to report on the passing of former Evans Vanodine Chairman, Mr Derek Anthony Evans on 5 February 2021.
Mr Evans passed away peacefully following a short illness with both pneumonia and COVID-19. He had recently celebrated his 94th birthday, enjoying the day spent with friends and plenty of cake at his care home.
Mr Evans’ life had been spent dedicated to his
family business, which he joined in 1948 after graduating from The University of Manchester with a BSc in Chemistry. He took over the business’ research and general laboratory work, formulating leading chemicals to fight infections and diseases, including the UK foot and mouth outbreak in the 1960s.
celebrations and online webinars, between now and the new show dates.
All existing exhibitor bookings and visitor registrations remain in place and will be transferred automatically to the new dates.

Mr Evans aimed to reach every corner of the world with his particular interest in export, spreading the Evans name. He was extremely proud of everything the business has achieved over the years, including two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise. He was grateful to see the future generations of the Evans family joining the business.
Mr Evans had a fond love of charity, his church and in particular golf, spending many of his days at Royal Lytham Golf Club, where he was Captain 1992-93 and The Captain of Captains for the Fylde Coast. Mr Evans was a father to few, a grandpa to many and friend to all.
Understandably, the family say that this is an extremely sad time for them, and for all those who knew him. They look to remember him with fond memories, and long may his legacy continue. They offer a sincere thank you to those who have already passed on their condolences at this extremely sad time, and they appreciate hearing stories and the fond memories you shared with Mr Evans.
It was Mr Evans’ wish that those wanting to give flowers for his funeral would alternatively donate to Derian House Charity, Lancashire, in his name.
We would like to pass on our condolences to Mr Evans’ family and friends at this difficult time.
