SUPERCHARGED ECOBAT Battery Technologies (EBT Industrial) has introduced a tailor-made charger for its Rapid Charge System.

This follows the recent introduction of the Lead Crystal range, which provides users with considerably more power and deep cycle capability than that of a lithium battery, but at a significantly lower initial purchase price. This addition allows it to offer an alternative package solution for applications that are presently or potentially lithium-based.

IRELAND Frances Ball has been appointed as the new Business Development Manager (UK and Ireland) for the worldwide cleaning industry association, the ISSA.

Frances’ responsibilities will include further expanding the ISSA’s reach in the UK and Ireland, and to help companies in the cleaning industry to thrive. Based in Nottingham, she will be closely working with the EMEA Programme Development team, who are in charge of education and certification.

Previously, Frances was involved with corporate membership propositions with the Institute of Customer Service, has worked for a leading Apprenticeship Training Provider, and for Quinn Insurance’s UK Division as a Senior Regional Commercial Claims Manager.

Frances commented: “I’m looking forward to discussing ways in which we can help and support UK and Irish businesses to become more compliant and improve their cleaning operations via best practices, CIMS accreditation, educational training workshops and networking events. I’m excited to take on the challenge and I will be focusing on promoting ISSA’s goals to expand the network and to strengthen the global cleaning community.”

In addition to solutions like the Rapid Charge System, EBT Industrial has a team of service engineers and a 13-depot network that enables it to provide a truly national service, dedicated to the wide-ranging needs of its various industrial customers.


TRUST CONTRACT OCS has secured a soft service facilities management contract with Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust (HEY).

The contract commenced on 1 June 2018 for a period of five years. OCS will deliver domestic cleaning services encompassing daily scheduled, rapid response, and specialist cleaning across the sites. The contract represents one in a number of key healthcare wins for OCS over the past year.

HEY is one of the largest Trusts in the UK, employing more than 8000 staff and serving around one million patients in North Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire each year. HEY operates from two main hospital sites, Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital, plus a number of additional services spread across other local sites in the community. It is a major acute care provider, with specialist centres for cancer, cardiac, vascular and trauma treatment.
