In March 2020, during a pandemic and in a lockdown, Barneo UK was created as an offshoot of Barneo PL, the Polish manufacturer and supplier of industrial wipes with over 20 years of experience in the wiper business. This gave Barneo UK access to the Barneo Industrial Wipes range of products, which are made in Poland.
Initially, the company offered dry, non-woven wipes on rolls in buckets for dosing with sanitiser for the growing sanitising market. Barneo still offers these products: spun lace or spun bonded material is available on rolls, with or without buckets at very attractive prices.

Since the company’s inception, Barneo UK has changed shape many times so the company can be part of the supply line of industrial wipes for the UK companies. During the first year of trading, it has been all about adapting to the UK market, with products, sizes, materials and packaging all having to be modified to suit. A brand new four-page brochure was created so the range became more compelling and understandable. Since the start, Barneo UK has changed the original concept of offering pallet quantities only, to being more flexible around order quantities.

The company is growing and developing fast, and 2021 is set to be a busy year with the introduction of unique new wiping products and systems. Barneo UK has taken an advantage of the lockdown by increasing its production in Poland to cater for the growing demand from the UK, especially for Sanitising Wiping Systems. With additional investment in products and people, they have built a range of industrial wipers that are functional, effective and in some cases unique to the company.

Barneo are establishing partnerships in Europe with key manufacturers of base materials for wiping products. One of the key strategic decisions has been made to work closely with distributors to develop new markets with new products.
The company’s aim for 2021 is to develop a first class service, first class products, source and offer best quality wipes to the UK market, and build long-lasting viable relationships with our customers.
