LUXURY VINYL TI L ES (LV T )
Sponsored by CFS MAKING A STATEMENT
The best way to create bespoke flooring is with modular flooring such as luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) says CFS.
Play with Colour Whether designing for a style-conscious home or in commercial projects with strict interior guidelines, tiles allow you to create a statement. We have seen an increase in the installation of our CFS Eternity LVT in gyms, offices and care homes, as the collection allows designers to mix and match different colours and styles.
People are also becoming more adventurous with their colour choices. For a while, muted, neutral colours were the go-to option, however in recent years it is increasingly more common to specify brighter carpet tiles such as our bright pink, electric blue and cherry red CFS Compilation Plus range, to complement the more neutral LVT tones.
The fact that it can be specified alongside other floorcoverings of a similar pile height is one of the many benefits of LVT. However, we now offer LVT transition strips and inserts which take the worry out of matching pile heights. For those who want to dip their toes into the world of colour, accent tiles strategically placed around a neutral colour can create a stylish statement.

certain products, increasing sales figures. We recently worked on an office space that used CFS Eternity Commercial to highlight walkways within the office, differentiating the desks from communal breakaway areas.
Eternity is CFS’s leading collection of luxury vinyl tile for use in commercial, industrial and domestic settings. Available in 15 finishes, the high-quality tiles offer architects, specifiers, contractors and designers a vast range of materials and styles to suit any budget and project. The commercial range recently won first place at the TCF Awards 2018.
Maintenance LVT is typically maintainable with regular sweeping. Commonly specified in high-footfall areas, LVT will inevitably face the impact of spills so it’s wise to inform a customer to treat any flooring, LVT or otherwise, as quickly as possible.
If a spill does occur, LVT can be simply wiped down, making maintenance incredibly simple. The CFS Eternity Classic and Parquet LVT comes with a 0.3mm wear layer, with the commercial range boasting a 0.55mm wear layer. All the CFS Eternity ranges come with a PU coating ensuring that any product installed remains in perfect condition for longer.

Get in the Zone Modular flooring such as LVT enables the customer to create zones by installing a variety of shades or textures throughout a building to highlight different key areas. It makes each room or area feel unique and demonstrates its individual purpose, allowing the floor to match the interior design of a particular space, rather than being a blanket-fit across a whole building.
It is also easy to create walkways by specifying different flooring materials or varying colour, such as a darker LVT or stone mixed with a wood-effect finish. When installed in a hotel, this could guide residents to the check-in desk or restaurant. In a retail environment, walkways can subconsciously direct shoppers to

Importantly, if a tile does become stained or worn, it is incredibly easy to replace the single damaged tile, rather than the whole floorcovering. This is an important consideration if the project has budgetary concerns or the building cannot be shut for downtime to replace the whole floor in the future.
The use of LVT to produce unique, design-led flooring is a trend that is set to stay. The 7th edition of the Contract Floorcoverings Market Report - UK 2018-2022, published by AMA Research, highlighted the continued growth of modular floorcoverings, such as LVT, and the use of decorative designs and textures, and random lay patterns to provide increased design opportunities. This is something CFS Eternity Classic, Parquet and Commercial LVT ranges lend themselves to perfectly.
