GIVE YOUR FLOORS THE CERAMIC TREATMENT

Here, Marldon outlines why you should fortify your floors with ceramic technology.

The evolution of commercial seals started with natural oils and oil- based lacquers and continued up to the present day where there are two-component polyurethane waterborne lacquers. However, nothing stays still for long, and the next generation of lacquers with ceramic fortification is now here.

What is Ceramic Fortification? Ceramic fortification involves adding tiny nano-particles of ceramic silica to lacquers and primers. The ceramic in the lacquer provides superior resistance to wear, scuff marks, chemicals and scratches. The tiny ceramic particles also give exceptional flow and levelling, alongside unparalleled adhesion properties.

Ceramic-Fortified vs. Conventional

Polyurethane Lacquers Ceramic-fortified seals are 20% more durable than conventional polyurethane (PU) lacquers. They offer higher scratch and chemical resistance with longer, more-even wear. As well as all of this, ceramic-fortified seals use 30% less petroleum-based raw materials so therefore have high green credentials and are better for the environment.

Why choose Ceramic Fortification?
