floorcovering market in Great Britain shrunk by an estimated 1.2% in 2017 to 58.8million square metres in volume. However, in our feature on page 6, AMA Research affirms that despite reduced growth rates, the value of the contract flooring market exceeded £1bn in 2017.

As readers of our monthly issues will know, the flooring industry continues to innovate and excel. We’ve featured some fantastic case studies and product launches over the past year and manufacturers are increasingly focused on

making positive changes to improve the sustainability of their product offerings and reduce the environmental impact of their production processes. I hope that you will continue to read our regular magazine to see how the industry moves forward in the next 12 months.

This comprehensive guide to contract flooring is designed to be your reference point to the industry. From surface preparation to levelling compounds, adhesives and sealants to carpets and sports flooring, we have an extensive

contact list of the key companies in flooring so the solution to any installation is just a few page turns away.

Here’s to a positive year ahead! EDITOR’S NOTE
