The Academy for Excellence has announced a new accreditation scheme for installers of leading laminate brand, Balterio.
The Balterio Master Installer programme delivers a suite of benefits for professional fitters, most notable a Lifetime Warranty on all installation work of Balterio laminate products. Alongside, qualified professionals receive an exclusive Master Installer ID card, branded clothing, full sampling and access to a dedicated technical helpline.
Lee Thompson, Technical Manager at the Academy, says: “The Master Installer scheme is a well-proven formula that has a track-record of success for major flooring brands and so we could take this model directly to Balterio laminate floors, using the same lifetime warranty on all workmanship to support the brand’s high-quality laminate collections.
TARKETT LAUNCHES
DESSO HARVEST Tarkett, a global leader in innovative and sustainable solutions for flooring and sports surfaces, has launched DESSO Harvest, a new carpet tile collection that uses light and shade to inject texture and subtle movement into workplace design.
Tarkett has harnessed a two-tone yarn effect to cleverly capture the windswept wheat fields and rustic wood looks that were the inspiration for DESSO Harvest. Each tile within the range differs slightly to the next and the contrasting colours add rich depth. The finished result successfully reflects the beautiful irregularities seen in nature.

The Balterio Master Installer programme is only available to professionals with a minimum two-years of installation experience. After a three- day training course involving the pass or fail assessment of practical, theoretical and technical knowledge; qualifying attendees are then awarded Balterio Master Installer status. For those already with Quick-Step Master Installer status but wishing to add extra depth to their qualifications, a separate course to gain accreditation is offered.

Alternatively, DESSO Harvest can be combined with other plain tiles in complementary colours from the DESSO collection to intersperse the flow in intriguing ways.
