DYNAMIC DESIGN

Dale Office Interiors selected carpets tiles from Tarkett and DESSO to enhance its workspace using texture and pattern.

Workspace experts, Dale Office Interiors, build bespoke spaces that enhance business performance, so when it came to refurbishing their own office they knew exactly what to do. They turned to Tarkett to supply the flooring as part of a new design scheme, which would create a refreshing update to their space - to be used as both an office and a showroom for clients.

For the flooring, the design experts at Dale Office Interiors wanted to move away from the plain, dark carpet which had previously been installed, and instead bring real pop of colour and texture to the space. With this in mind, they opted for DESSO Traverse and Edges carpets in vibrant bursts of blue, yellow and green, featuring distinctive diagonal ridges and a patterned design used to create zoning and define walkways.

Concrete and the DESSO Jeans collection were designed with the modern office very much at the forefront. They are ideal for those who, like the Dale Office Interiors team, are looking to design a truly modern and streamlined office space.

“As with all Desso&Ex Collections, the Concrete range is about connecting people, areas and different interior design elements. Designed in collaboration with international interior architect studio, Ex Interiors, this carpet collection reflects our company’s shared values – high-quality design combined with a passion for creativity and functionality.”

The Desso&Ex collection also features a unique format for DESSO, 100cm x 50cm rectangular shaped slabs that can be combined to craft a range of striking flooring design schemes, providing exceptional creative freedom for architects and designers.

In keeping with Tarkett’s Cradle to Cradle philosophy, all DESSO carpets specified for this project are available with the 100% recyclable DESSO EcoBase backing as standard, and contain ECONYL yarn – a 100% regenerated nylon made from recovered waste materials such as fishing nets and yarn waste.

Desso&Ex concrete carpets evoke a neutral and calming mood for the Dale Office Interiors meeting room

In the boardroom, the design team wanted to create an elegant and calming ambience, so they opted for Desso&Ex Concrete - a tactile carpet plank, designed for minimalistic interiors. This provided a contrast with the DESSO Jeans carpet tiles selected for the Design Lounge, a space to bring clients to view samples of fabrics and wallpaper.

Kirsty Atkin-Stephenson, Interior Designer at Dale Office Interiors, said: “It was a great experience collaborating with Tarkett and we are all thrilled with the final result.

“I particularly love Jeans in the Design Lounge. In fashion, denim goes with everything, which makes this carpet tile a perfect backdrop for the variety of products we show in the space.”

Inspired by the diversity and democracy of denim, DESSO Jeans carpet tiles are designed to create impact with an unmistakable and unique identity ― perfect for informal interior environments like this.

Sam Crossland, Commercial Area Sales Manager at Tarkett Ltd who led on this project, commented: “Both Desso&Ex
