STYCCOBOND F41 Carpet Tile Tackifi er, from F. Ball and Co. Ltd, goes much further than ever before, whilst offering the professional fl ooring contractor a number of key benefi ts.
The new formulation means that STYCCOBOND F41 Carpet Tile Tackifi er is even more economical and has increased tack and grab, being specially designed to offer clean release without leaving carpet fi bres behind. This offers the perfect combination of performance and convenience in one bucket.
The reformulation comes as a result of extensive research and development and takes into account the feedback of fl ooring contractors, an ongoing process that forms an integral part of F. Ball’s ethos of consistently delivering the best products and the latest technology.
Flooring contractors will benefi t from easier application, as a result of reduced viscosity, whilst a drying time of as little as 20 minutes means the contractor can work more effi ciently - saving both time and money.
Available in 5, 15, and 25L resealable containers, the new product is a solvent free acrylic polymer emulsion adhesive. It is designed to provide a permanently tacky fi lm, which prevents ‘loose-lay’ carpet tiles from moving under normal traffi c but enables them to be lifted and replaced easily when required. As the containers are reseable, any unused adhesive can be used for future installations and, of course, this results in less waste.
The 15 litre bucket is ideally suited for application with a roller as it can be directly applied from the bucket onto to the fl oor - this
is a much more effi cient process and reduces both waste and mess - the ideal scenario for the busy fl ooring contractor. STYCCOBOND F41 is certifi ed to Emicode EC1 Plus and consequently has very low emissions. It is also non-fl ammable, protected against biodegradation, suitable for use over normal underfl oor heating installations, is resistant to plasticiser migration and will withstand normal wet cleaning techniques. It can be used for securing a wide range of dimensionally stable “lay fl at” carpet tiles backed with bitumen/felt, non- woven fabric, PVC and other polymer backings.
The product has been tested to the standards of the International Maritime Organisation and is approved for use in marine fl oor installations, as well as being part of a wider range of F. Ball adhesives specially approved for marine use.
As with the previous formulation, the new improved Styccobond F41can be applied to STOPGAP smoothing underlayments, structurally sound, smooth, dry subfl oors of concrete and sand/cement screed, plywood, fl ooring grade chipboard and hardboard.
