Hello and welcome to the June issue of TCF.
Growing environmental concerns and rising consumer demand for eco-friendly products means that sustainability continues to come under sharp focus for the flooring sector.
By integrating sustainability into design and production, the flooring industry is playing a crucial role in building a greener, healthier future. In this issue, we shine a spotlight on companies that are adopting sustainable practices, moving away from traditional, resource-intensive materials and turning toward renewable, recycled, or low-impact options.
While consumers and businesses alike are increasingly prioritising products that combine durability, aesthetic appeal, and minimal ecological footprint, the need for inclusive design is gaining traction. With this in mind, we hear from Altro on how the company is helping designers to consider neurodiversity as well as dementia-friendly design principles in public sector settings.
In our floor seals and finishes section, LTP advises on proper porcelain paver maintenance while Barrettine explains how their Armourflex Hardwax Oil is developed and tested in the UK. Rounding up our features sections, we have a focus on residential flooring.
I hope you enjoy the issue.
