FILA JOINS STONE & CERAMIC AT WHITE COLLAR FACTORY


A FILA cleaning regime has been specified, by Stone & Ceramic, at White Collar Factory in London’s Tech City. Designed by AHMM Architects, for Derwent London, the mixed-use project comprises refurbished buildings and new builds, including a new landmark office tower. Stone & Ceramics’ installation includes DOMUS ceramic surfaces within the office’s urban-styled washrooms, where FILA solutions were used for deep and routine cleaning.


Located on the Old Street Roundabout, White Collar Factory provides an impeccably sustainable model and has already achieved numerous awards and certifications.


It is defined by the 17-storey office building, which features a double-


manufacturer’s most forward-thinking wood looks. The entire collection is also afforded the new T-emboss technology with easier maintenance, better stain- resistance, improved aesthetics – through reduced light-reflectance - and better slip-resistance.


With Hyperguard+ PUR technology, Concept Woods retains aesthetic integrity with minimal maintenance and is available in two and four-metre widths, fully-compatible with Invisiweld. In a finish such as Groutless Wood, the combination of a four-metre width and Invisiweld is crucial in maintaining the visual ethos of the floor, reducing the number of seams and making any almost impossible to spot.

Groutless Wood is a variation on the ‘endless’ wood look, a unique take on the aesthetic that underlines vinyl flooring’s capacity to imagine natural materials in a new perspective. Available in a whitewashed and greywashed oak, it’s a striking design that mixes the popularity of seamless finishes with the warmth and familiarity of wood.


In Chevron Oak, commercial interiors have access to a classic parquet look without the fuss. Creating a vintage feel, the design is available in dark grey and light grey colourways, as well as a light- natural oak. Stone & Ceramics’ installation features large format and brick style ceramics from DOMUS Creta, Mods and Trasparenze. After installation, FILA Deterdek – a concentrated buffered acid detergent - was used to safely remove residues, including cementious deposits. Tiles were then deep cleaned with FILAPS87, whilst FILA Cleaner was used for a final cleanse and for ongoing maintenance.

NEW HIGH TEMPERATURE/ PRESSURE SENSITIVE


ADHESIVE FROM UZIN UZIN has launched a new single component high temperature or pressure sensitive adhesive, UZIN KE 49 HT. For quick, easy and reliable LVT or vinyl installations then UZIN KE 49 HT offers perfect results.


This new adhesive gives flooring contractors flexibility when working. The hybrid application enables it to be used either as a pressure sensitive adhesive or as a high temperature adhesive in areas where coverings are exposed to extreme temperatures (only when a wet / semi-dry method is used to install the floorcovering). It is fitter friendly and unlike two- component adhesives there is no mixing required and no wastage.


UZIN KE 49 HT is also a very strong adhesive with excellent initial and final bond as well as providing good resistance to plasticisers.
