CONTRACT FLOORS Made in Belgium by IVC, the Itec Silento Timber collection of heterogeneous vinyl flooring features a special acoustic foam backing that reduces impact sound by 18dB. Ideal for use in student accommodation, education and social housing, the floor is available in a range of realistic wood looks that create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

A MULTI-FACETED FLOORING COLLECTION
LAUNCHED BY MILLIKEN Facet is the latest carpet tile collection to come from Milliken’s inspired and prolific UK design team. Fine lines converge to create geometric outlines out of which multi-faceted reflections emerge. There are three designs within the collection: ‘Facet’, ‘Facet Accents’ and ‘Facet Transitions’. The three designs allow for flexibility, imagination and experimentation in laying out the floor plane. The Facet collection has been created using Milliken’s patented Millitron digital patterning technology. Using Millitron, patterns can be created to randomize across the floor, providing the opportunity for intriguing transition effects as well as suggesting movement and variation. With ease of use and simplicity of coordination in mind, Facet is offered in a range of practical greys,

through sharper clarity and a better matt look with less light reflectance. With reduced surface texture and combined with Hyperguard+, T-emboss also makes cleaning easier, provides improved stain and slip properties and gives excellent abrasion performance.
With Hyperguard+, all floors in the Silento Timber collection are protected from dirt and stains and remain easy to maintain throughout their lifetime, requiring no specialist care. The permanent polyurethane treatment makes Silento Timber ideal when specialist cleaning schedules and intensive maintenance are not regularly achievable, such as in social housing and student accommodation buildings.
As well as reducing sound for a more comfortable environment, Silento Timber achieves a Class 33 Heavy Commercial use rating, giving suitability for demanding public areas such as corridors or receptions where two and four-metre width options can help to minimise waste
or reduce seams respectively. With Invisiweld, the wood-look integrity of the Silento Timber collection can also be enhanced with a flush seam that’s also stronger and thereby less prone to failure than traditional hot weld.

Milliken cushion backed carpet tiles absorb 50% more noise than hardback carpet, which in turn absorb three times as much noise as hard surface flooring. Constructed in a high performance textured loop, Facet has been designed for projects where clients might be constrained by a tighter budget.

Facet comes with Milliken’s patented Comfort Lite cushion backing as standard to enhance wellbeing. The cushion backing not only offers underfoot comfort but also improves acoustics. Facet comes in a 50 X 50cm tile format and is available within 10 days of ordering as part of Milliken’s Quick Ship programme. The carpet tiles’ backing is made from 90% recycled content cushion backing. To further reduce its environmental impact, Facet can be supplied with TractionBack for adhesive free installation, improving indoor air quality and reducing materials’ usage. Facet is produced in an ISO14001 certified facility in Wigan, UK using ethically sourced and wherever possible, locally produced, materials.
