Etched & Threaded by Interface

ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

Nature meets nurture with Interface’s latest biophilic carpet tile collection.

Previewed at this year’s Clerkenwell Design Week, Etched & Threaded is Interface’s latest carpet tile collection which has been designed to cut through the hustle and bustle of commercial spaces.

By capturing both the warmth of natural textures and the geometric flows of natural stone, the collection’s 12 colourways take biophilic design in a new direction – one that explores human connections with natural materials. Designed for a range of commercial applications, Etched & Threaded has been imagined as a way for designers and specifiers to create tranquil environments that evoke a distinct connection to the outdoors whilst retaining a polished look and feel.

Company Profile

Interface, Inc. (NASDAQ: TILE) is a global flooring solutions company and sustainability leader, offering an integrated portfolio of carpet tile and resilient flooring products that includes Interface carpet tile and LVT, nora rubber flooring, and FLOR premium area rugs for commercial and residential spaces.

Beyond its design, the collection reflects Interface’s strong focus on sustainability. Etched & Threaded is made from more than 90% recycled content and is equipped with CQuest Bio as standard. This innovative backing contains recycled and bio-based materials that are net carbon negative to ensure tiles store, rather than emit, carbon.

The carpet tiles’ impact sound insulation of up to 27dB helps to create environments that are focused, perfect for those who are wanting to zone-in or zen-out. The collection’s seven designs all have Heavy Contract (EN1307) Class 33/LC2 wear classification to provide longevity and durability, offering a consistent return on investment.

And when the carpet tiles need to be replaced, the collection’s modular functionality offers a streamlined, waste-reducing replacement process by producing an average of just 2.5% waste, compared to the typical 15% of carpet roll. At the end of the product’s lifecycle, the collection’s tiles are eligible for reuse or recycling thorough Interface’s ReEntry programme, through which the manufacturer collects used tiles to either give them a new lease of life or enter them back into the production cycle.
