LOG MY CARE

Log my Care’s electronic care planning software was developed with their motto “by carers, for carers” in mind.

After completing extensive research and working with carers to identify the key problems in care planning and recording processes, the team embarked on an ambitious plan to digitise the care industry. Log my Care noticed that many smaller services have remained on paper systems due to tight budgets, prompting them to make their base module free of charge.

The fast-growing start-up recognised that carers are fully committed to the care they give but are often bound by the time constraints of writing up care notes at the end of a shift. By minimising the time constraints of outdated systems that required irrelevant information, or the same data to be entered more than once, the mobile app and intuitive software have helped make carers’ lives easier.

The basis of Log my Care is a free, cleverly-designed mobile app which works seamlessly across all types of devices. Care user plans and notes can be uploaded to a profile, and their carers can securely view individual care records and update care notes in real time. Carers can also view to-do lists, which can be set by managers who can easily delegate tasks across their workforce.

Everything on the app can be managed from a centralised ‘care office’ where care managers can view reports and analyse key health trends throughout the care provider.

Now, new coronavirus features and resources have been added to help care homes monitor and plan during the COVID-19 pandemic, by allowing carers to update key health metrics relevant to COVID-19 symptoms. The tool helps to highlight individuals with suspected symptoms and gives care providers the confidence to develop contingency care plans around this.

OYSTA PEARL + by Oysta Technology

The Oysta Pearl+ provides Vulnerable Independent People (or VIPs) with a lifeline to enable them to live an independent life more confidently.

Combining flexible digital telecare technology with GPS location functionality, the Oysta Pearl+ offers 24/7 monitoring, keeping the VIPs entire care network connected.

Worn as a pendant around the neck, clipped to a belt, or put in the pocket, the Oysta Pearl+ has been designed in collaboration with its users. Easy to use, the large screen shows clear, easy-to-read prompts and the device features large easy-to-press buttons, including a prominent SOS button.

In times of distress, the VIP will be located and assisted immediately. Putting the VIP in touch with a friendly voice, the Oysta Pearl+ allows clear two-way voice communication via the loudspeaker.

Alerting the VIP and their care network as to the status of the device, the Oysta Pearl+ will indicate to everyone within the network when it is on or off, charged or in need of charging and battery levels. It lets care providers see when the device is moving or not moving – indicating if the VIP is at home or out and about. It also enables the creation of Safe Zones to monitor movement in and out of areas at certain times of the day and night. When leaving a safe zone, the Oysta Pearl+ will send an alert to notify the VIPs care network. The Oysta Pearl+ has a built-in three-axis accelerometer to sense falls. Upon activation, the device will send out alert information and open an audio call.
