caption STRONG AND STABLE
As we reach the mid-way point of IDA Ireland’s five-year strategy, Winning: Foreign Direct Investment 2015-2019, the numbers speak for themselves. In the face of global economic and political uncertainty, the Government agency responsible for attracting foreign direct investment can reveal that Ireland remains a stable, competitive and secure economy. Foreign direct investment continues to grow, and as we enter the fourth quarter of the year, the number of high-level investments secured is on par with 2016. Strong growth is echoed across Irish industry: it is the fastest growing economy in the Eurozone for the past three years (2014-2016) with 5.5 per cent year-on-year growth in the first half of 2017. This positive performance looks set to continue as national and international forecasts predict continued strong GDP growth into 2018.
