Two new Luciferase assay kits

Gene reporter assays are widely used in research and drug discovery. The development of such cell lines is often time-consuming and costly. Once these cell lines are finally validated, why jeopardise your results with cheap and low-end detection kits that can impact

the reproducibility of your experiments in unintended and unanticipated ways? Two reliable and powerful luciferase detection kits – the One-Step Luciferase Assay System and the Dual Luciferase Assay System – are now available from AMS Bio to address this issue.

NEW BIOLOGICAL SAFETY CABINET

Cleanroom completed at plant in Wales

Production of new anti-cancer drugs at ADC Bio’s North Wales manufacturing plant has been boosted following completion of a new cleanroom facility, designed and built by WHP. This forms a key

part of ADC Bio’s construction of a new bioconjugation facility at its site in Deeside, North Wales, UK

for the commercial production of antibody drug conjugates in response to global customer demand. Antibody drug conjugates are a class of emerging biotherapeutics that require a bespoke infrastructure to ensure strict compliance with the highest global

regulatory standards.

With Thermo Fisher’s latest offering, scientists working across biopharmaceutical, bioproduction and applied research applications can now benefit from a new technologically advanced Class II biological safety cabinet (BSC), which has been developed to optimise contamination prevention, information protection and management, and user convenience.

Using its popular BSC

technology, the new Maxisafe 2030i joins the previously launched Herasafe 2030i BSC and both systems offer a “smart” self-monitoring safety capability to automatically maintain appropriate air flow and monitor critical conditions in real-time for continuous, uncompromised protection of valuable research.

BENCHTOP TIME-DOMAIN-NUCLEAR-MAGNETIC-RESONANCE SYSTEMS

Analytik has launched a range of benchtop Time-Domain Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (TD-NMR) systems. Applications that yield valuable data using TD-NMR include solid fat content and oil seed analysis in the food industry, obesity research and MRI contrast agents in the medical/pharmaceutical industry and a growing number of measurements in the chemical and polymer sectors.

The Minispec MQ Series

offers a comprehensive range of measurement frequencies in a benchtop TD-NMR system. With frequency options ranging from 7.5MHz for samples with large diameters, through to the MQ60 with 60MHz operating frequency – an optimised Minispec MQ system is available for most low-resolution NMR applications.
