19 Proteomics, Genomics & Microarrays Ready-to-Use Protein and Cell Lysates for Cellular Metabolism Research
AMSBIO has expanded its range of top quality, high-performance assay kits, antibodies, enzymes, and substrates for cellular metabolism research. Drawing upon an extensive network of collaborations, AMSBIO has assembled a comprehensive collection of high quality, ready-to-use protein and cell lysates for use in cell metabolism research. The range includes compartmental total proteins specifically isolated from cell membrane, cytoplasma, cytoskeleton, nuclei, and mitochondria. In addition, focused cell lysates are available from human and a wide array of mammalian species / tissue types.
AMSBIO offers an extensive range of high quality, ready-to-use cellular metabolism activity assay kits that enable fast, high-performance detection of most target proteins. Based on the latest innovative technologies these kits are designed to measure lipid and glycerol levels, folate metabolism, pyruvate metabolism, glycolysis and gluconeogenic pathways, citrate metabolism and oxidative stress.
A new range of tools to advance your post Krebs cycle research have also been introduced. The Krebs cycle is a metabolic pathway that participates in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, but is best known for its ability to produce cellular energy in the form of the GTP molecule. AMSBIO now offers an extensive range of products for the biochemical processes responsible for the synthesis of proteins (transcription, translation, and post translational modifications) and amino acids (anabolism), as well as the degradation of proteins (catabolism). Additionally, AMSBIO has introduced an extensive range of products involved in nucleic acid metabolism including RNA metabolism (transcription, translation, and degradation) plus the three main processes (replication, repair, and recombination) of DNA metabolism.

Dolomite Bio’s hydrogel focused reagent kits enable high-throughput encapsulation of cells in hydrogel scaffolds. The nadAROSE and nadia3D kits address the needs of researchers exploring both agarose encapsulation and collagen-based hydrogel projects for the 3D cell culture space.
Current methods for constructing hydrogel scaffolds involve costly, time consuming, ‘home brew’ batch methods, with few commercially available solutions. For this reason, Dolomite Bio is launching the nadAROSE kit for the encapsulation of cells in agarose and the nadia3D kit for 3D cell culture research. Both kits are complete, standardised, and reliable solutions, containing all the single use, prefabricated consumables needed for scaffold production on the Nadia Instrument.
Due to the flexible nature of the Nadia Instrument, researchers can perform high throughput encapsulation of up to 1 million cells in one run, with a choice of running 1,2,4 or 8 lanes in parallel, in under 30 minutes. The fully automated Nadia Instrument guides users through all relevant steps of the experiment via an easy-to-use touchscreen interface. With single use chips and precise temperature control, the Nadia instrument is ideally suited for your hydrogel research projects. Additionally, researchers will benefit from the wide sample compatibility, opening up research areas involving large cells of over 50 µm in diameter, such as cardiomyocytes.
Most importantly, both kits can offer control over mono-clonality, giving researchers access to a variety of downstream workflows, such as, cell secretion studies, cell-cell interactions, microbial cell culture. Furthermore, the nadAROSE kit is compatible with cytometric analyses. The nadia3D kit opens up downstream workflows in: the development of novel culture techniques for fastidious cell lines, disease modelling, identification of novel drug targets and pharmaceutical screening.
Nadia Shakir, Production Manager for Dolomite Bio said: “Researchers are bottlenecked by the lack of commercial solutions for 3D cell scaffold production, with nadia3D and nadAROSE, this barrier is removed.” More information online:

New Gene Tagging Kits
Invitrogen TrueTag Donor DNA Kits from Thermo Fisher Scientific simplify and accelerate cell line engineering with CRISPR-Cas9 or TALEN technology. Researchers can now enrich tagged cells to obtain up to 100% of edited cells, enabling them to skip the time-consuming clonal isolation step and save up to four months on their genome editing experiments, when compared to traditional gene tagging workflows. These off-the-shelf kits provide templates and clean-up columns to generate donor DNA with a one-step PCR workflow which eliminates the need for cloning.
The expanded portfolio of TrueTag Donor DNA Kits supports four types of locus-specific knock-in templates: Fluorescent tagging kits; Epitope tagging kits; Stem cell fluorescent reporter tagging kits; Knockout enrichment kits.
TrueTag Donor DNA Kits are offered for fluorescent and epitope tags including GFP, RFP, BFP, Myc, HA, 6xHis, YFP and DDK.
Applications include genome editing experiments including creating cell lines for disease model studies and reporter assays, tagging genes for localisation and isolation studies and enriching cells with functional gene knockout. More information online:
